Delete your WithMe account
How to delete your account and its data from the WithMe app, made by WithMe.
In the app (fastest)
- Open WithMe and go to the You tab.
- Tap the settings button at the top.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Enter your password and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
On the web
Sign in on our website with your WithMe email and password, then choose Delete account and confirm with your password. It's deleted straight away.
By email
If you can't sign in at all, email us from the address you signed up with, and we'll delete your account within 30 days. We'll write back to confirm when it's done.
To protect you, we only act on requests sent from the account's own email address.
What's deleted
- Your email address, password and profile: name, avatar, phone number and friend code.
- Your goals, schedules, check-ins and notes.
- Photos you attached to check-ins.
- Your friendships, Cheers, nudges and reviews.
- Your Focus history and notification settings.
- The phones registered to your account for notifications.
Shared goals you created are deleted for everyone in them.
What's kept
- Reports. Reports you made, or that were made about you, are kept so that safety problems can still be dealt with. Once your account is gone, a report refers to it only by a random ID.
- Backups. Copies in our providers' routine backups may last a short while longer before they expire.
There's no app time to delete on our side: it's read and shown on your phone only, and never reaches our servers.
